A few years ago, it seemed like all my friends were getting their wisdom teeth removed except me, which was awesome. As my dentist said, my wisdom teeth had lots of room to grow because I have a really big mouth (gee, thanks dentist. Every teenage girl wants to hear that they’ll grow up to have a mouth like Sarah Jessica Parker)
Fast forward four years and 3 wisdom teeth haven’t moved at all. But since that one decided to grow in all weird, dentists figures we might as well get rid of all four. We’ve been arguing over this for a year but I decided I should probably get this done while I’m still covered by multiple health insurances since I’m in University. (did you know that the anisthetic alone costs over $800?!? Wow.)
So as much as I’m terrified of surgery and pretty much anything medical, I got myself all prepared for this. I was in the zone. & then they told me they were gonna put an IV in my arm… I’m not sure how exactly I imagined they would sedate me, but I honestly just never considered a needle. I don’t do so well with needles, especially ones that they leave sticking out of my arm!
… cue embarrassing panic attack during the consultation. On the bright side, next thing I remember is waking up after the surgery & going home!
But now I’m back to being grumpy about the whole situation. Hooray for spending reading week at my parents house, with only ice cream and television to keep me company. I am already bored. =(
